    Gordon Leigh

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Born in England, Gordon Leigh has a rich background in the hospitality industry, spanning multiple continents. In the early 90s, he ventured to Paris to assist with the opening of Disneyland Paris, later transferring to the famed Brasserie La Coupole. Relocating to Northern Virginia later that decade, he notably contributed to the Willard Intercontinental Hotel and Bistro Bis and spent over a decade at the Tysons Corner Capital Grille. His expertise led him to construct a restaurant at Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas in 2015. Subsequent leadership roles included managing Bones Restaurant in Atlanta and overseeing operations at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant in Virginia. By 2023, Gordon took the helm at The Maple Room, under The Christos Companies and MAC ST Hospitality Group.

    Outside of his professional life, Gordon enjoys hiking, reading, and spending quality time with his wife Paloma of 30 years, and their two sons, Benjamin and Tristan.

    Meet David Mongellow, our illustrious bartender with a mustache that warrants its own accolades. Serving behind the bar for over 8 years, David's quirky mustache is more than just a style statement. Many have lauded it as both a "work of art" and a "national treasure," and it pairs perfectly with his knack for whipping up signature cocktails.

    David's journey in the world of mixology has been diverse, having honed his skills at prominent establishments like RyBar LLC, Franklin Hall, Davio’s, Wren, Vinifera, Range, Mussel Bar, and the quirky Mannequin Pis. Even a brief stint at Heirloom/OpenRoads is a testament to his adaptability and passion for the craft.

    But David is more than just a master of the drink. He is the soul of The Maple Room's bar, offering not just a drink, but an experience. His warm demeanor and infectious humor make every visitor feel like an old friend. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or craving to try something new and innovative, David is your go-to mixologist.
